While some of us just dance and sing along to Beyoncé’s medley, others find it difficult to go from one side of the block to the other while wearing high heels. Seeing a man rock the heels and catch every beat on a sleek stage is amazing, in my opinion.
For as long as he can remember, Yannis Marshall has dreamed of becoming a dancer. He picked up his mother’s dance skills and infused them with his own flair. He then went on to construct this masterpiece. His approach is not typical. His poise and self-assurance make him stand out.
“I wouldn’t say powerful; I love dancing without heels too,” Yannis said in an interview. “But once I put on a pair of heels, I’m confident, like I’m different… because I have to kill it.” You either kill it or you fall apart; there is no middle ground. It gives me a noticeable confidence boost. However, my dancing is my strength, therefore I don’t need heels.
In 2014, Yanis and his friends Arnaud and Mehdi made it to the BGT semifinals. Despite not winning the prize, his talents were acknowledged, and he is currently touring the globe to showcase them. Check out his startling video here:
