Ne’Keshia Dawson Jabbar—known to many as Keke Jabbar—has tragically passed away at the age of 42. A familiar face to fans of Love & Marriage: Huntsville, Keke was known for her vibrant spirit and deep love for family, education, and media.
According to statements shared on social media, Keke was married to security expert Ameen Jabbar. Together, they had three children—two sons and a daughter. One of their sons, Ace Jabbar, was a high school football player at Sparkman High School.
Keke was also the cousin of LaTisha Scott, another popular cast member of Love & Marriage: Huntsville, who boasts nearly 190,000 Instagram followers. LaTisha appeared on the show in 2023, and Keke was also featured on the unscripted series, which follows the personal and professional lives of three successful African-American couples as they rebuild their city through a joint real estate venture, The Comeback Group. An episode of the series that aired on January 13 drew more than 400,000 viewers.
Although she had not been active recently, Keke still maintained a loyal social media following of over 18,000 fans. In her Instagram bio, she described herself as an author, editor, professor, TV personality, educator, and speaker—reflecting her many passions and achievements.
Her final Instagram post, shared on May 27, 2024, featured a joyful message to her followers in celebration of Memorial Day, along with an announcement of her new swimwear line. “I’m at the pool with a few of my friends just kicking Memorial Day off with some fun people,” she wrote.
The news of Keke’s passing was first shared by blogger Marcella Speaks during a YouTube livestream on Tuesday. During the broadcast, a statement said to be from Keke’s family was read, confirming that she “passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by love.” The cause of death was not disclosed.
“Keke was a mom, a sister, and a great friend, full of life, love, and laughter,” the family shared. LaTisha Scott also posted an emotional tribute online, asking for “RESPECT and PRIVACY in our time of grief as we deal with this great loss.”
Keke Jabbar will be remembered not only for her presence on reality television but also for her warm heart, her devotion to her family, and the joy she brought to those who knew her.
