Bohemian Rhapsody is one of the most popular songs of all time. It’s quite probable that you’ve heard it at least once, either by the original band, Queen, or one of the dozens of cover versions released over the years. You may have even heard it performed by an a cappella group. You’ve probably never heard it performed by a group this large before.
This video features almost 50 different vocalists performing the song. Getting two voices to mix smoothly is a difficult undertaking, which is why I can’t comprehend how this group of well over 50 kids was able to put on such an incredible performance on the TV show Georgia’s Got Talent. I was stunned!
I can imagine how much time and work they put into their rehearsals. The lights darkened, and the music began with the famous opening lyric, “This is real life?” “Is this just a fantasy?” The lights gradually turned on while the ensemble sang, “Open your eyes…” It certainly brought an unexpected amount of intensity to the performance.
The music quickly increased in tempo, and the singers performed with great passion. The judges really enjoyed every minute of this performance, as seen by their singing along and smiling throughout.
You can hear the audience yelling throughout the performance. These children know how to put on a show! They danced, raised their hands to the heavens, and performed various other coordinated movements while they sang.
It was a tremendous performance. It’s no surprise that these kids advanced to the competition’s semifinals. They absolutely deserved it.
