Richard Goodall, the beloved singing janitor from Terre Haute, Indiana, has big dreams for his $1 million *America’s Got Talent* prize. Alongside his new wife, Angie, he’s looking forward to buying a home and starting a new chapter together.
Goodall’s journey on *AGT* stole the hearts of fans nationwide, taking him from a Golden Buzzer moment all the way to winning Season 19.
His victory on September 24 came just after his wedding to Angie, making the moment even more special. “It’s surreal,” Goodall shared with *PEOPLE*, calling the experience a “dream come true.”
Before the final show, Goodall performed *Don’t Stop Believin’* with members of Journey, the same song that captivated judges in his audition. “I never imagined being on stage with them,” he said, reflecting on how far he had come.
With his win, Goodall shared how life-changing the prize will be: “This means everything to Angie and me—it allows us to buy a home and start fresh.”
He also shared Angie’s excited reaction, laughing, “She said, ‘I’m finally getting my house and a washer and dryer!’”
