Carl, from Liverpool, organized the heartfelt surprise in the city center on Saturday with the assistance of his friend Stephanie, the Head of Musical Theatre at Liverpool Media Academy.
He wanted their anniversary to be a memorable day for Laura, who has multiple sclerosis, according to the Liverpool Echo.
Stephanie invited several of her pupils to join her in singing Just the Way You Are, making her fantasy a reality.
Mr. Gilbertson stated, “I was much more nervous on Saturday than I was on my wedding day.” When I return to Anfield for the next season, I’ll most likely face some criticism from the players.”
